Summary

Provides exceptional customer service. Performs the proper grooming for dogs and cats in accordance with DOGPerfect’s grooming policies and procedures.

Principle Accountabilities

May include, but are not limited to, the following: 

• Grooms and bathes all breeds of dogs to breed specific standards as well as meeting the customer’s requests and personal preference.
• Dedicated to achieving DOGPerfect’s strategy through operational excellence and growing services.
• Performs all grooming tasks safely.
• Completes training as required.
• Helps meet and exceed grooming sales goals.
• Maintains a detailed customer history by recording services performed on pets in groomer.io.
• Processes check in/check out procedures, including proper documentation of client’s records, receipts, call back programs, bookings, and entries of appointments in groomer.io.
• Maintains a high level of cleanliness, sanitation and humane conditions for all pets.
• Performs health checks throughout the day.
• Completes end of day cleaning in accordance with grooming maintenance checklist.
• Assists in other departments as required and performs other duties as assigned.
• Follows all company policies and procedures. 

Certification

Certified Pet Food Nutrition Specialist (Nutrition course through DNM University provided upon hire)

Experience

A minimum of 2 years of experience, certifications preferred but not required.

While performing the duties of this job, the pet groomer is regularly required to stand, walk, and use hands to handle, or feel. The pet groomer frequently is required to reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, talk and/or hear. The pet groomer is occasionally required to sit, climb or balance. The pet groomer must frequently lift and or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally team lift and or move in excess of 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include depth perception. 

Exposure to live animals and their handling is common.
